Drystone & Co. A workshop. A shop. Generations of craftsmen.
The same pull of vegetable-tanned hide has been running through our hands since 2011. Not much has changed in how we work — the cutting table is the same one we started on, the thread is the same waxed linen, and the saddle-stitching is still done by hand, two needles, the way it's always been done. That consistency isn't sentiment. It's because the method works.
Robert Marsh started the workshop after fourteen years repairing and commissioning bags for a small outfitter that no longer exists. He noticed what failed first — cheap edge paint that cracked, thin bridle handles that stretched, rivets punched into flesh-split leather that pulled through after a year. So when he set up on his own, he built the opposite: full-grain hides, oak-bark tanned, stitched with a saddle-stitch that holds even if one thread breaks.
We are four people. Two of us cut and stitch. One handles finishing and hardware — the solid brass fittings, the burnished edges, the final inspection. The fourth manages orders and customer correspondence. We turn out roughly 1,400 bags a year. We could do more. We don't.
What we don't do: we don't stock canvas bags with leather trim and call them leather. We don't outsource stitching to cut lead times. We don't launch seasonal collections. The range changes when there's a reason to change it — a better buckle source, a new hide that ages well — not because the calendar says so.
Be part of something built to last — that's not a phrase we put on a poster. It's the only reason to buy a bag this way.

Built to go the distance.
We don't make bags that look good in a product shot and soften into nothing by the third trip. Full-grain leather, proper construction, honest pricing — be part of something built to last.
The hands on the hide.
